Meet Ann Mercedes — Owner & Director Ann Mercedes brings decades of professional dance training, teaching experience, and personal attention to every student. Her extensive dance background includes teaching at Broadway Dance Center and other dance establishments throughout New York City. Over the years, Ann has studied with respected and influential teachers and choreographers including Sue Samuels, Finis Jhung, Denise Clark, Germaine Goodson, Germaine Salsberg, Phil Black, Charles Kelley, and many others. That combination of professional training and decades of hands-on teaching has shaped Ann's philosophy: great dance instruction should build confidence while still making the experience fun. Ann is especially recognized for her expertise in Tap, bringing her knowledge, musicality, technique, and enthusiasm to adult dancers ranging from beginners to experienced performers. Her experience also extends into the professional entertainment world. Over the years, aspiring actors and performers have sought private instruction with Miss Ann while preparing for auditions and opportunities in both Broadway and Los Angeles productions. Her private coaching provides individualized attention designed to help performers improve technique, confidence, presentation, and readiness for the audition room. You do not need previous dance experience. Ann works personally with couples to create a first dance that reflects their personalities, their music, and their wedding.
